Alternative Generator Inc is your number one source for the service, and repair of backup power systems, equipment, and components. We are a certified Kohler Power Systems dealer, and are equipped to handle service on other major makes, and models of Generator Sets, Transfer Switches, and Switch Gear as well. Alternative Generator takes great pride in customer satisfaction, this means getting the job done right the first time, and doing what we say we will everytime. We understand it can be quite critical to a family or a business' survival to have a backup power system running at peak performance.

Alternative Generator Inc was founded by Christopher Robare who has been working in this industry since he graduated high school. When he graduated, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1996, and was assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman as an Engineman. He worked on large engine generators that provided power to the nuclear reactor cooling system on the ship. He had learned a trade he could practice for the rest of his life. He then received an Honorable Discharge and decided to continue his education in a diesel engine service program. Upon graduation Chris had obtained ASE Certification in Diesel Engine Repair, from there he went on to work for a reputible Kohler Power Systems distributor in the Northeast. He fine-tuned his skills in the industry, and applied what he had learned in the field performing service and troubleshooting system issues. He was then hired to manage power plants in the northeast for Fortistar Methane Group, where he oversaw the production of 30 Mega-Watts of renewable energy. He was responsible for keeping the plants and generators on the grid and making power 24-7.

Since 2006 Chris Has owned Alternative Generator Inc, where he takes pride in applying the knowledge he has gained over the years to ensure customer satisfaction.
