March 13, 2013: ALTERNATIVE GENERATOR, WESTFIELD MA. Chris Robare was recently certified as a Level 1 Thermographer. This means Alternative Generator Inc now has the ability to perform level 1 infrared electrical inspections. We can provide yearly inspections or customize a plan for your particular application. We can also add this service to your generator PM agreement and perform the inspections at the time of the service call. This also allows us to better troubleshoot system issues should they arise, we are one of the few companies that can do NFPA 110 inspections with out calling multiple companies to complete the inpection in full. 

 

October 21, 2012: ALTERNATIVE GENERATOR, WESTFIELD MA. Chris Robare, Owner travelled to the headquarters of Kohler Co in Kohler Wisconsin. He spent the week there learning the in's and out's of the product line and how the service and warranty processes work at Kohler. Chris has worked in the trade since he got out of high school; however he is now the proud owner of his own dealership, and needed to learn the administrative side. This allows us to sell new Kohler equipment, service all kohler equipment, and provide warranty work to our customers. He partcipated in classroom sessions and hands on demonstrations for the residential product line​.

July 27, 2012: ALTERNATIVE GENERATOR, WESTFIELD MA. Alternative Generator had the privilege of working with WHDD Radio of Sharon, CT. We were recommended via word of mouth, which is the best advertising in business! We were able to give their generator a thorough inspection and diagnosed the issue the same day. Alternative Generator sourced the parts and made the fix within 24 hours; we are happy to report the system is back online and in auto which is a first in 4 years. Marshall Miles gave us some air time during his show the next day... He promised us the audio bit, so stay tuned as we will post it to this site.
